Whiskered Myotis Myotis muricola family  roosting in a furled  ginger leaf in the gardens of the Sukau Rainforest Lodge on the Kinabatangan River.

According to Suhaillie the senior guide at the lodge there are often several bats roosting in the same ginger leaf.

The bats move to a new leaf every few days presumably because of the mess created by their faeces.

Presumably the plant benefits from the fertilizer in the faeces.
