The Hairy-nosed Otter is extremely rare throughout its range which includes Borneo, Sumatra West Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia.
The Hairy-nosed Otter has previously been camera trapped at Deramakot in swampy land near the White House next to the Kinabatangan river. See below
