Tufted Ground Squirrel: FMU 11, Sook, Sabah

Giant Tufted Ground Squirrel Rheithrosciurus macrotis camera trap photos in virgin forest at Sungai Milian Forest Reserve  a conservation area within  FMU 11, north of Sook  in SW Sabah.

Note that the back of this squirrel looks to be grey rather then reddish brown  which is the normal colour  of this squirrel  in most of Sabah.

Forest Management Unit #11 is located in two adjacent sites one north of the red flag (Sook) and another south of the red flag (Sapulot).
