Record shots of a young Linsang hunting around the visitor cabins at Kinabalu Park HQ taken on 21 March 2024 by Yabainus Juhalin.
Linsang has previously been recorded at 1,800m on Kinabalu but it is exceedingly rare so these recent records are highly unusual.
Thanks for information and and photos to Catherine TAN.

As mentioned by admin this mammal used to roam altitude area below 1800 ft ASL, as was recorded by Mr. Yabainus at above 1800 ft ASL and if shoild be a new altitude record for this mammal. I remember once in 26/12/2017 (https://www.borneobirdimages.com/bird/paddyfield_pipit/8212#navigation) for an aves sp of a Paddyfield pipit (Anthus rufulus) was recorded at 1400m ASL at Sinisian rd, Kundasang and was too an Altitude record for this species in Sabah.
