Island (Common) Palm Civet Paradoxurus philippinensis eating a green padi-field frog in a durian orchard at Meriuk Farm Stay (Wasai Bidanu) Brunei in July 2019. Note that the end of the tail is pale orange. All three of the palm civets found in Borneo Masked Palm Civet, Bornean Striped Palm Civet and the Island Palm Civet may have a pale or white tail tip. However a pale tail tip is universal in Masked Palm Civet but rare with the other two civets. All photos by Jungle Dave. This is a different individual Island Palm Civet also photographed by Jungle Dave at Wasai Bidanu in June 2016. The tip of the tail (orange arrow) is plain black.
